First German-African ICT startup fair held in Berlin – ICT@frica

The first German-African ICT Start-up Fair was held on 11 October 2014 in the Malzfabrik venue in Berlin, Germany.

Ten German-African start-ups from the automotive, cooling technology, resource planning, irrigation technology, engineering, solar and wind power technology, as well as sanitary and electro technology areas were presenting their business ideas at the event and inviting all those interested to have discussions about the opportunities and potential for German-African cooperative work.

Those attending the event include for instance Michael Gathogo who manages CladLight – a startup in Kenya that seeks to reduce motorbike accidents using a smart jacket with wearable technology.
