Some of you might recall that last year, we reported about the conference eLearning Africa when it was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This year, the annual event took place in francophone Cotonou, Benin in West Africa. The Berlin-based organizing company ICWE GmbH again did an outstanding performance making this unique happening a great success, so we can’t help but presenting here a glimpse of the accomplishments:

The opportunity of mass access to world-class learning resources without the barriers of distance or cost has excited educationalists, politicians and learners alike. But has eLearning lived up to this promise? What do African eLearning professionals, practitioners, policymakers, business leaders and teachers think about this?
