Denmark-based designer cooperation is launching a new jeans-concept – WANGU JEANS.
Here is their press release:
It can be difficult to find the perfect pair of jeans, especially if you are more curved than others. Toniah Pedersen knows this well – and she is now set to do something about it. The X Factor choreographer has now become a partner in Wangu jeans, a company situated in East Jutland, Denmark. Her job will be to produce jeans for African women.
Through both my work and my girlfriends, I have often faced the issue of African women versus jeans with a European fit – which does not match. I have this problem myself each time I go shopping for a pair of jeans
, says Toniah Pedersen with a glint in her eye. The name of the company Wangu jeans is Swahili and means ”my own jeans”. The word covers the fact that African women have a different physiology than European women. They simply have bigger bottoms. The jeans designed by Toniah Pedersen will be more baggy to fit this group of women. […]
Toniah Pedersen is still carrying on being a choreographer, instructing the X Factor finalists to move like superstars. Toniah has been working with international names such as Mary J. Blige, Lenny Kravitz, Backstreet Boys, and Sugababes.
